Themed Meals

What's For Dinner (What's For Dinner)I recently came up with a meal planner that has made planning our weekly meals so much easier.  However, as I was compiling my favorite recipes, I also realized that I have so many new recipes that I would like to try…you know, the ones that you find and pin on Pinterest.  So, after a little brainstorming and trying to figure out how to incorporate some of these new meals into my weekly meal planner, I decided to switch my weekly themes around a bit.

First, I decided that I needed to focus on just one new meal a week because my schedule (and probably yours too) is busy enough without adding additional changes or stress to my week.  Then, in order to make sure I had a night to incorporate this new meal I got creative with my themes.  So, here is what I came up with (with meal ideas):

Meatless Monday – Kabocha Squash with Tahini Filling, Vegetable Stir-Fry with Quinoa

Taco Tuesday – Chicken Soft Tacos, Fish Tacos, Taco Salad (made with ground turkey), Burritos

Worldwide Wednesday – Foods from around the globe (Italian, Indian, Chinese, Mexican…)

Thrilling Thursday – New or modified recipes

Fun Food Friday – Pizza (Also try healthier, lower carb recipes using cauliflower crust or Paleo crust recipes), Burgers (including Black Bean or Veggie Burgers), Grilled foods (chicken with a clean BBQ sauce).

Seafood Saturday – Lemon Pepper Fish, Spiced Cod or Tilapia, Salmon

Soup & Salad Sunday – Chili (many different varieties), Vegetable Soup, Black Bean Soup. Microgreen Salad, Greek Salad, Spinach Salad (add seeds, nuts, or lean meats)
